Gynecomastia is enlarged breast tissue in men and it can range from puffy nipples to enlarged breasts with excess skin.  

The condition is due to enlarged glands, caused mostly by a hormonal imbalance or an accumulation of fatty tissue in the chest area.  

Gynecomastia can also be caused by the use of drugs, such as anabolic steroids and prescription medication.  

In many cases the cause of gynecomastia is unknown. We recommend seeing your GP first to rule out any known treatable causes.
