“Gyno redo” is generally for those patients who are not satisfied after the first surgery and still have breast excess breast tissue or fat. Gynecomastia gets cured usually after the surgery, however the patient should note that it can take 6 months to a year for all the swelling to resolve and the skin to contract into its final configuration. Hence, we advise the patient to wait at least 6 months from the date of surgery. the difficulty of a gyno redo depends on the prior surgery you had and initial healing. Many surgeons say that residual scar tissue can be hard to work around if you don’t wait long enough between the main surgery and the gyno redo. But overall on a general basis, It would not be any more difficult than the first surgery.
Rare complications of liposuction defects and large crater depressions may be solved using nearby fat to fill in the problem as the surgeon contours the surrounding tissue.
